Vicki Richter Obituary
Vicki Lee Richter, 67, Oconto, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 3, 2017. Vicki was born June 9, 1949 in Oconto to the late Wallace and Beverly (Weigelt) DeHut. Vicki worked at the Oconto Memorial Hospital as a surgical nurse most of her life. Before retiring she also worked for Dr. Kim Y. Chung as the office manager and the Oconto School District. Vicki loved flowers, reading, playing Panda Pop game, rummage sales, cooking along with many others things that would bring family together. She enjoyed walking the dogs on the breakwater. She loved spending time with family no matter what it was, cooking a meal, car ride, boat ride, trips to Door County, Red Lobster, or just sitting back and enjoying the day. Vicki's family, and her role as mother and grandmother was the most important thing to her. This is where she drew her strength and left her legacy.
Vicki is survived by a daughter, Leslie (Ken) Sharkey; a son, Adam Richter; a sister, Stacy (Bruce) DeHut; two brothers, Brent (Maggie) DeHut; Brian (Jackie) DeHut; two grandchildren, Lauren Sharkey and Phillip Richter; and the father of her children, Delbert Richter. She is also survived by many nieces and special dog Calvin. She was preceded in death by a sister, Robin Garrigan; grandparents; and her beloved dog Elizabeth.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the First American Lutheran Church, Oconto, from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, June 15, 2017. Memorial services will be conducted 8 PM Thursday at the church with the Rev. Mary Zupansic officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.

I wish to express my sincere sympathies for the family of Vicki Lee Richter. Vicki worked for my mother, Kim Y. Chung Awen MD, for many years. She worked as a surgical technician and office manager for my mother's clinic. She carried great responsibilities for taking care of my parents professionally and personally. I greatly appreciate what Vicki did for my parents. She was dedicated and loyal. I am sad to hear of her passing. Perhaps she has met my mother in heaven, and still assists her like she did at my mother's clinic. Thank you Vicki for being a great professional and friend to my parents.
