Columbus, Georgia- Vicky Freeman DeYoung, 59 of Columbus, Georgia passed away Thursday February 21, 2013 at her home in Columbus.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday February 27, 2013 in Parkhill Cemetery according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, Georgia.
Mrs. DeYoung was a caseworker for the Department of Family and Children Services.
Surivors include her son Alex Antee, her 2 grandchildren, a brother, a sister, nieces and nephews.

Vicky & I started working at DFCS about the same time, however we never worked in the same department throughout our careers. I enjoyed talking with Vicky @ Cracker Barrel & she waited on me about a month ago when I bought a pink sock monkey outfit for my newborn granddaughter. She talked at length that night about her twin grandsons. Sympathy to Vicky's family.

I was so sorry to hear of Vicky's passing. I worked with her at DFCS and to know her was fun. She had such an out going personalily. I smile thinking of her. My heart goes out to her family and would like them to know she made a difference in many lives.
