Victor Manuel Barreto II, age 54, of North Port, FL, died on October 25, 2015. He was born in New York City on October 5, 1961. Victor moved to North Port from Sarasota 10 years ago. He was the proud owner of Victor Barreto Electric and always said 'Work is Work!'. Victor loved his work, however he would rather be fishing and hunting with one or both of his buddies, John and Marty. Victor will forever be remembered for his megawatt smile and upbeat personality. Victor was a veteran of the US Army.
Surviving family members include his wife, Colleen; daughters Veronica and Rosangelica; stepson Jake Johnson; his parents, Victor Barreto Sr. and Rosa Bachiller and step father Tony Bachiller; sisters Lillian, Vivian and Denise; step sisters Sherry and Marie; and 7 beautiful grandchildren. Victor was preceded in death by his son, Victor Barreto III.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th from 11 - 3 at South Lido Beach Park.

I love reading everyones memories of Vic, and all the kind words to Colleen and the family so very much! So for another year we will all be blessed with the happiness these messages bring... To the family that lost a giant of a man, a smile as bright as the stars and a hug that made you feel that you were loved. I can't image the loss you are all feeling at this time. Time will only heal what aches so much right now. To my friend Colleen, I am so glad this man came into your like and made your smile bright again, even though it's dimmed right now, I know in my heart your children will bring that smile back one day, and your Victor's smile was bright but not as bright as when his eyes met yours.

Vic was the greatest man I've ever known! I just cant say that enough. He loved his Wife and children more than anything in this world...He made his friends feel like family, and would do anything for anyone! He had a work ethic like no other! My heart is broken..and will forever be heavy from this great loss! My deepest heartfelt sympathy to his Wife and one of my very best friends Colleen...and to all of his children.. Veronica, Rosie, and Jake...He'll always he with you! I love you all forever and a day!
