In 2009, I spent a year with the Reding family as an exchange student, and that´s when I got to know Victoria-not just as my host sister, but truly as a sister and a friend. She was incredibly smart, kind, and always so friendly to me. I remember how she would tell me all about what was going on at school-sharing the latest gossip, stories about her friends, and things she found funny or interesting.
Victoria had a love for animals, especially dogs and lizards, and her enthusiasm was contagious. During that year, I didn´t have many friends in the US, and the friendship meant so much to me. We spent many afternoons, evenings playing and chatting in the pool-moments that I´ll always treasure.
Her presence made my exchange year feel like home. I´ll always remember her wit, warmth, her laughter, and how much she cared.

Anytime I went down to the Clearwater area and dropped by to see Jack and the family, Victoria and her sister would want to play games. Mind you these weren't your typical board games, but games the Redings played. I always had a great time playing these games and watching the intensity of the girls as they were so competitive. Victoria-you will and are missed by all.

I first met Victoria in the gifted program at Morgan Fitzgerald middle school. In the past 13 years of our friendship, I have never known someone with so much love and care for animals as much as her. In the Hawaiian culture, each family has an `aumakua, which is basically a family guardian animal. In my family, it is ironically sharks which I found out very quick were her favorite animals, and since knowing Victoria I always found it funny because in a way she was like my guardian human. Someone I could vent to , laugh with, cry with, reminisce funny middle school memories of food fights, Clearwater high AICE tests, and life after.
I still find myself reaching for my phone to text her since her passing. Just yesterday, I had a memory pop up from when we went to Windsor in the mall together just for fun to try on pretty dresses. I remember seeing how beautiful she looked in the fluffy dresses she tried on, and feeling like princesses together.
I am so honored to have been able to be her friend. I know one day we will get to laugh together again. Rest in peace my sweet friend. <3 - Liliana K.S.

I didn´t know her for very long, but the time we shared left such a happy mark on my heart. I´ll never forget our nights out in Clearwater Beach and all the laughs we had posing for photos with that big turtle statue at the hotel we stumbled across. She had a way of making even small moments feel like adventures. I´m so grateful for those memories, and I´ll carry them with me always.

This girl right here was amazing! She always had a smile that would make you smile. She was the first person that was truly my friend in Florida and took me places and just treated me like a friend should. When I wasn´t in Florida we would talk all the time(texting) (calling) about life and just relationships and really everything. I´m gonna seriously miss you you always gave me good advice. I will miss calling you up and saying let´s go for a walk while I´m in town. Have fun up in heaven and say hi to Casey for me love you girly! Forever and always bestie!

When I think of Victoria, I just see all of her dreams. She had so much left on her bucket list. I wish we could go see the bioluminescence light up the water or go camping like she wanted to do in the fall. She loved being outside, befriending little creatures and shared my enthusiasm for sharks. She had so much fun on this island day and talked about wanting to do more paddle boarding trips.
I miss her sweet smile and the hope she carried.
The Lord was the source of joy and refuge for Victoria.
"Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life."
Psalm 143:8
Victoria clung to psalm 143:8 when seeking direction in the early months of 2025. Praying this verse for your family now.

Thank You Lord for allowing Victoria to shine a light in our young adults Bible study group. I remember her telling me about how we both shared similar health issues and told me stories about her and her best friend, Erinn (whom we both mutually knew). I know that regardless of the circumstances, that the Lord has her with Him, and that she is at peace. May we see each other again one day. Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

I am thankful for the time I got to spend with Victoria and memories I got to make with her. When you first meet her you could feel her warmth and kindness, she was so generous that she´d be the first to give up her seat for someone else, her laugh and smiles were contagious and her sense of adventure outdoors is inspiring. We talked about all the wonderful places we would want to go paddle boarding and the animals we´d get to see. One day we will get to have those adventures we talked about and I can´t wait. Your family will be in my prayers and know that I am forever great full to have met Victoria.

Victoria was an amazing soul with a smile that would light up a room. She was quiet until she knew you. But once you got to know her, it was nothing but witty comments, laughs, & love. You will truly be missed! We used to joke about seeing each other last night & then say "in our dreams". That joke is now reality. Rest in Paradise sweet angel. Love Brian & Sonia.
