Auntie Vida was a very caring lady whose warmth would make you feel welcome. She was one of the few relatives I constantly reached out to regarding learning more about the Essien family. She is missed dearly, especially her comments which made me laugh and smile.

There were many good things that were said about you as I grew from childhood into adulthood. I am sure that it is this goodness that still endlessly emanates from your beautiful children. I always saw you as a woman with a gentle spirit. Although you have left us, we know you still live on. You will forever remain in our hearts and minds and your good deeds and works will speak for themselves through the beautiful legacy you shared with the world.
