Vida Wolfenberger

Vida Wolfenberger, 93, of Weatherford, passed away Sunday Oct. 19, 2008, at Holland Lake Nursing Center. She was born June 19, 1915, in Parker County, to Henry and Eddie McFarland. A resident of Parker County all her life, she was a homemaker and a lifetime community leader of Zion Hill Community. Vida was instrumental in the formation and long term success of the Zion Hill Community Center and the Zion Hill Cemetery Association. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey; sister, Juanita Smith; and brother, Carl Henry Mcfarland. Survivors include her son, Allen Maresh of Hurst; sister, Marie Roberson of Weatherford; granddaughter, Sallie Maresh; two great-grandchildren; two nephews, Mike Roberson, I.W. Queen; one niece, Kathy Nichols.Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday Oct. 21, 2008, at Zion Hill Community Church with interment at Zion Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.The family would like to express there gratitude to Dr. Mark Eidson and the staff of Holland Lake Nursing Center for the kindness displayed during the long term convalescence of Vida Wolfenberger.
