Vincent Lipari Obituary
Birmingham, MI - Born May 6, 1928. Died November 7, 2019 at the age of 91. Devoted husband of Rose (nee Molinaro) for 69 years. Loving father of Thom (Connie) and Lori (Terry) Lipari Adams. Proud grandfather of Lisa, Laura, Jimmy, Brandon, Christopher and Matthew and great-grandfather of 12. Beloved brother of Vita Williamson and brother-in-law of Gina Bitoni and Marlene Hamel. Predeceased by siblings Sebastian, Rose Ferlisi, Angela Schuler, and Sam. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Jim founded Lipari Foods in 1963, which has grown into a major food distribution entity, currently serving retailers in 15 states and employing over 2,000 people. He was a very generous man, as well as a leader, mentor and friend who will be fondly missed by all of those whose lives he touched. Visitation Friday from 2-8pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc, 36900 Schoenherr Road at Metro Parkway, Sterling Heights. Instate Saturday 10:30am until time of 11am Mass at St. Michael Catholic Church, 40501 Hayes Road, Sterling Heights. Private burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Feed the Children (www.feedthechildren.org). Words fall short of expressing my sorrow of passing Mr. Jim Lipari. I consider myself very lucky and honored to know him as a family member.
His humbleness, sweetness, and kindness will be missed I have enjoyed listening to his memories and experiences, to me all was not only a precious testimony of a lifetime experience and success; but also, a clear evidence of a person with a heart who loves and respects his family and people who came across his way and this is true blessing.
He will be missed, but I am sure he will continue to live in our memories and hearts.

Mr. Lipari was truly a generous and giving person. He was great friend to my grandfather, Lester Wilkinson. The stories of their early days driving the Lipari trucks around town are priceless memories. My husband (Dan Stults) was one of Jim's first drivers. I'm soo very sorry for your loss. I remember the day Dan came home from work and told me he broke his glasses and Jim just pulled the money out of his pocket and told Dan to go get a new pair. Then he said joking "another son to take care of". He truly was a giving man. I remember the beautiful Christmas parties. That man spared no expense. What a caring and giving man. I had the opportunity to meet Jim Lipari over 38 years ago. I will never forget the day that I met him. This day was not an ordinary day, but a special day because it was at the Lipari Food Show. Before the show even began, Jim was trying to pump the vendors up before the show. I remember Jim's words clearly "Sell,Sell, SELL!". Jim had a passion for his business as well as his family.
