Vincent C. Macalush

Vincent C. Macalush 82, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 3, 2023, in Nesquehoning. He was the husband of Catherine (Postie) Macalush. They had been married for 54 years.

Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Michael and Lucy (Celotti) Macalush.

A 1958 graduate of the Nesquehoning, he then attended Ford Business School, Pottsville, attaining a certificate in accounting.

He then entered the U.S. Army and served the majority of his enlistment at Fort Knox, KY, before being discharged as an SP4. Vince then worked for Western Union in Allentown as a warehouse manager for many years before retiring.

He enjoyed target shooting in his earlier years and maintaining his gun collection, and was a former member of the Sokol Citizens Club, Nesquehoning.

He was of the Roman Catholic faith.

Surviving in addition to his widow are a son, Vincent J. Macalush, and a daughter, Cindy A. Macalush, and her companion, Christopher Ward, both of Nesquehoning. He was also predeceased by a brother, Michael A. Macalush.

Service: Private funeral service and interment. Arrangements by Bruce A. Nalesnik Funeral Home, 57 W. Center St., Nesquehoning. Online condolences may be expressed at www.nalesnikfh.com.
