Vincent Rudolph Miller

Vincent R. Miller, 86 of Bowling Green died Monday December 10, 2012 at his home. Born in North Carolina, he retired after 42 years with Brooks Lumber Co. After retirement, he worked for Fredericksburg Auto Auction for 15 years. He was a born again Christian and attended Temple Baptist Church. An avid NASCAR and Redskin fan, he also enjoyed Blue Grass music and duck pin bowling. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Miller. Survivors include his wife, Maxine P. Miller; two children, Linda Meadows of Fredericksburg and Jerry Miller of Spotsylvania; three step-children; four grandchildren; four step grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A funeral will be Thursday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Michael Reid officiating. A graveside service will follow Friday at 2:00 PM in Rich Hill Cemetery, Glade Valley, North Carolina. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
