Mr Ryan was my gym teacher at IHM. I played intramural basketball on Saturday mornings at IHM with his son, Vinnie Jr. in the 1980's (Vinnie Ryan Jr. was a great basketball player in his day.) God be with the Ryan family and very sorry for your loss.

Vinnie was an exemplary citizen of Maplewood. He was a great advocate of family and church, Democratic politics, the great outdoors, almost-everything Irish, and even the occasional horse-race betting! Most importantly, he was the best neighbor we could have ever wished for. And we will miss him. Our love and sympathies to the family. Julia Burch and family --Aixa, Ino and Amelia.
