Mr Ryan was my gym teacher at IHM. I played intramural basketball on Saturday mornings at IHM with his son, Vinnie Jr. in the 1980's (Vinnie Ryan Jr. was a great basketball player in his day.) God be with the Ryan family and very sorry for your loss.

Vinnie was an exemplary citizen of Maplewood. He was a great advocate of family and church, Democratic politics, the great outdoors, almost-everything Irish, and even the occasional horse-race betting! Most importantly, he was the best neighbor we could have ever wished for. And we will miss him. Our love and sympathies to the family. Julia Burch and family --Aixa, Ino and Amelia.

Mr. Ryan was "the man" in the Bradley Court projects (Vailsburg) in the early 60's. He was in charge of the summer recreational program and we all looked up to him. My sincerest condolences to his family.

It is wth sincere felt sympathy and prayers we send to the Ryan family. Mr. Ryan was my gym teacher at Vailsburg High School from 1966 through 1970 and he was a loving and caring person.
