Vincentia Rizzi

Vincentia "Vee" Rizzi Loving mother, grandmother CANANDAIGUA - Vincentia (Vee) Rizzi, of Wood Street, passed away July 16, 2008 at F.F. Thompson Hospital. Mrs. Rizzi was born Dec. 16, 1921. She retired as a baker from Canandaigua Schools in 1983, after 24 years of service. She is survived by her daughters, Joanne (John Bourne) Robinson and Rosemary (William) Chappell, both of Canandaigua; son, Joseph (Becky) Rizzi of Rutland, Vt.; sisters, Helen (Santa) Catalfamo and Rose (Vincent) Lenzi, both of Canandaigua, Madeline (Pete) Pacillo and Margaret (Ted) Mauro, both of East Rochester, and Ida (Al) Gurrieri of Geneva; brother, Danny (Janet) DeRosa of Canandaigua; sister-in-law, Yolanda DeRosa of East Rochester; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Vito (Bill) Rizzi, who died in 1983; son, Ralph Rizzi, who died in 1967; and brother, Frank DeRosa. A memorial Mass will be offered Monday at 6 p.m. at St. Mary's Church, 95 N. Main St., Canandaigua. Private burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
