MILBRIDGE - Viola M. Knowles, 82, died May 27, 2011, at a Narraguagus Bay Healthcare Facility, Milbridge. She was born March 15, 1929, in Machiasport, one of seven children to the late Alphonso Leroy and Edith (Lincoln) Prescott. She will be missed by her friends at Sunrise Opportunities and Milbridge Residence, where she cooked American chop suey and whipped almost everyone at cards. She will be missed by special friends, Joan Yeaton and Melissa Brooks, who enjoyed their outings and heart-to-heart talks with Viola. Viola is survived by her son, Gerry; sister, Bertha Bowe; and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Howard, William, Arthur, Oscar and Melver Prescott; a sister, Lillian; and one son, Leroy Knowles. A service of Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Homes, Machias.
