Virginia Davidson Obituary
Rochester, NY: Passed away October 19, 2009 at age 93. She was predeceased by husband Samuel Wilson Davidson; sisters Janet West Cutter and Eleanor West Haupt. Virginia is survived by her children James (Mary Untalan) of Rhinebeck, NY, John of Paris, France, Eleanor Davidson of Cleveland, OH and Peter of Boston, MA; grandchildren Ella Davidson, Angus Davidson, Mollie Silver, Steven Silver, Samuel Davidson and Rachel Davidson. Virginia was a graduate of Wellesley College and of Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School. She was active in the Presbyterian Church, (USA) and Downtown United Presbyterian Church (formerly Brick Presbyterian Church). Virginia was Moderator of the Genesee Valley Presbytery and Vice- Moderator of the Presbyterian Church (USA). She was also a founding member and Moderator of That All May Freely Serve.
Virginia's Memorial Service will be held SATURDAY 2 p.m. at the Downtown United Presbyterian Church (121 N. Fitzhugh St. Rochester, New York 14614). Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to That All May Freely Serve c/o Downtown United Presbyterian Church in her memory.
