Virginia Dubish Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Aug. 17 to Aug. 20, 2022.
Virginia "Virg" V. Dubish 1942 - 2022 East Longmeadow Virginia V. Dubish, 80, a longtime East Longmeadow resident entered into her everlasting rest on August 15th. Virginia was born February 27th, 1942 to the late Emilio and Leanora (Mariano) Zucco. As a young girl, "Virg" held the title of "Ms. Mallory Milk". She was a homemaker, devoted mother and friend to many. Virg was a self-described "people person" and enjoyed playing cards, drinking coffee, eating Entenmans, smoking cigarettes, and shopping with the girls. She was very generous and thoughtful, but she was not to be crossed! Virg had a special talent for holding a grudge. She will be remembered for her excellent sense of humor, and for living life on her own terms. She is survived by her two children: Edward S. Dubish and his wife Sheila Holland, and Traci Dubish-Lund and her husband Carl Lund. Her son, Eddie, was her favorite person in the world, just ask her daughter Traci! Virg is also survived by her three grandchildren Madison Dubish, Michael Lund, and Chatham Lund, and her brother Richard Zucco. Her husband, Edward W. Dubish, passed away in 1991. Virg loved her family and friends, and she cherished her time with them. Family and friends will gather at Sampson's Chapel of the Acres, 21 Tinkahm Rd on Monday the 22nd from 10-11:30am for a period of visitation, a funeral home service will then follow at 11:30am. She will then be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Springfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are kindly invited to the Alzheimer's Association 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA.
