Virginia Hamrick Obituary
Chesapeake - Virginia Doxey Hamrick, 89, died May 18, 2018. A native of Chesapeake, she was the widow of William E. Doxey, Jr. and Freeman J. Hamrick. Virginia was a member of Portsmouth Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include two daughters, Joan B. Gilley and husband Roger, and Deborah Welker and husband Richard; two sons, Steven Edward Doxey and wife Jennifer, and William Keith Doxey Sr. and wife Vickie; eleven grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 22, at 11 AM in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel by the Rev. Ken Rice. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 7-8 PM. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com
