Dear Cindy, Greg, and Virginia-
Your mother was such a beautiful person, inside and out. We will always remember how kind she was when we moved to New City from Michigan thirteen years ago. She welcomed us to the neighborhood and immediately made us feel at home. When my five year old daughter went to sell GS cookies at her door, Mrs. Krueger invited us in. She delighted in showing us photos of your entire family. She was so proud of all of you and especially her grand-children!
Every year, she would also remember our daughter's age and quiz her about what classes she was taking. Even in retirement, the consummate teacher!
Such an intelligent, vibrant, and courageous person! A role-model for us all.
We already miss her hugs!
Our heart-felt condolences to you and your families.

Virginia, Cynthia, and Gregory - Your mother was a gracious lady with a lot of spirit. I have many fond memories of dinners with her when Tom and I would visit New City. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Ginny was the consummate teacher colleague and an absolute delight to a librarian such as myself. She read the classics to her students, believing firmly that they needed to be exposed to the great literature for their age. And just ANY version of a classic tale would NOT do! She required one with the original text and one illustrated by great artists such as Arthur Rackham or NC Wyeth. I will always remember her as a friend and colleague for whom I had the utmost respect...and I will miss her.
