Obituary:

Virginia "Ginny" Matheson, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away on March 9, 2024, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at the age of 67. Ginny was born on February 19, 1957, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to the late parents who preceded her in death. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Geoffery "Mike" Matheson, whom she shared 47 years of marriage. Ginny was a loving mother to her daughter, Jenna Matheson, and her family and friends will forever cherish the impact she had on their lives.

Ginny pursued a long and successful career as a Corporate Insurance Advisor and Chief Account Executive, where her dedication and expertise were admired by colleagues and clients alike. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ginny found joy in spending time with her family, especially her daughter Jenna, and her dogs. She adored moments at the beach with her husband Mike and watching the movie "Pretty Woman."

Virginia "Ginny" Matheson will be remembered for her kind and selfless nature. She had a radiant smile that could brighten any room, and her charismatic personality left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Ginny's legacy of compassion, generosity, and love will continue to live on through those she touched.

Ginny is survived by her loving husband, Geoffery "Mike" Matheson, and her devoted daughter, Jenna Matheson. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of Ginny's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Ginny's memory to a charity of your choice.

Ginny was my aunt. My Mother´s sister. The few times I met her, she went out of her way to make me feel comfortable. I´m so sorry to only now be learning of her passing.

I remember Ginny basically my whole life. The one first memory I have is of you both in your old apartment with the lion fish tank. She was always so nice. I remember how she says my name and I can hear it now.

I worked with Ginny for several years. She was a devoted employee and always went over and above. She always talked about her love for her husband and daughter. Her love for them motivated her to work hard. Her family and friends have suffered a great loss. I will miss a dear friend and appreciated who she was .

Mom, I love you so much. I was honored to write this for you and could have written an entire book if the website let me. You are so incredibly missed. Just your warm presence and kindness in an otherwise harsh world is something I have always admired about you. I miss your laugh, you saying "honey" and being such a great sport when dad and I would get you fired up.
