Virginia Rose Schaller, 86, of Higginsville, Missouri died on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Meyer Care Center in Higginsville. Born Sunday, December 22, 1928 in Higginsville, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Ross Moore and the late Rose Johnson Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris S., one son Darryl Schaller and one sister Maxine Moore. Mrs. Schaller was a lifelong resident of Higginsville. She married Morris S. Schaller on July 30, 1948; he preceded her in death on August 10, 1988. She worked as a seamstress at the Higginsville Garment Factory until her retirement in 1982. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Schaller volunteered in the church's nursery and also volunteered for the Foster Grandparent Program. Surviving are son; Gary Schaller of New Franklin, MO, three grandchildren; Trisha Featherston-LeBlanc, Rock (Jessica) Schaller and Claycie (Scott) Gerlt; and four great grandchildren; Gabriella Featherston, Caleb Schaller, Avery Schaller and Maddie Gerlt. A funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Monday at Hoefer Chapel located at 1600 Main St. Higginsville, Missouri 64037 with the Dr. Greg Fine officiating. Interment will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. Pallbearers will be John Dye, Scott Gerlt, Paul Smith and Robert Quarti. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday, March 16, 2015, at the Hoefer Chapel. Memorial contributions may be sent to Family Choice.
