Virginia Louise Swartz (née Roberts), affectionately known as Ginny, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2024, in Surprise, Arizona, at the age of 98. Born on July 22, 1926, in Akron, Ohio, Ginny lived a rich and fulfilling life marked by her dedication to her family, her career, and her varied interests.

Ginny graduated from Mogadore High School and soon established a successful career, working as an office manager for a medical practice and as a bookkeeper for A.J. Bayless. She was deeply committed to her professional roles, balancing them skillfully with her personal life.

Her personal life was filled with joy and love, especially shared with her husband of 68 years, Gordon Swartz, who preceded her in death in 2014. Together, they shared passions for dancing, crocheting, traveling, and motorcycle riding. Ginny was a warm, generous, strong, and fun-loving person who cherished time spent with her family above all. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing games with family and friends, creating lasting memories.

Ginny was a faithful member of the Mogadore United Methodist Church in Ohio and later, the Epworth Methodist Church in Phoenix, Arizona. Her faith was an important aspect of her life, providing her with strength and community.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her five daughters, Sandy, Carol, Vickie, Ginger, and Donna; 16 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert Swartz; grandson Shaun Vaughn; and great-grandchildren Trina Mullenax.

A memorial service will be held on December 1, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Spirit of Grace Lutheran Church, 15820 W Clearview Blvd., Surprise, AZ 85374. Inurnment details will be finalized and held on December 2, 2024, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix, AZ 85024.

Virginia "Ginny" Swartz will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her unwavering support for her loved ones, and the joy she brought to all aspects of her life. Her legacy of love and strength will continue to inspire those who knew her.
