Virginia Vesty Obituary
Born on February 21, 1927 to Warren Smallridge and Olive Eckam Smallridge, she is survived by her four sons Warren, Dwight (Marina), Clarke (Karen), Stuart (Rebecca) and grandson Alexander.
Ginny grew up on a large farm in Irondequoit, NY, surrounded by animals, and became a competitive equestrian. She was a Nazareth alumnus.
Arguably one of the best comfort food chefs ever, Ginny was constantly hostessing, baking delicious meals, and canning and freezing fresh fruits, vegetables and jams.
She enjoyed a 30-year career greeting new home owners as the Welcome Wagon hostess in Brockport, and in Pittsford under the name "Greetings From Pittsford". She boasted that she had met everyone who lived in those towns.
Her biggest joy was her four boys, and instilled her love for horses to them all.
Ginny has been laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery, Brockport, NY next to her parents.
