Virginia Worlow Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 16, 2025.
Mrs. Virginia Ann "Gin-Ann" Worlow (née Hughes), age 83, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on November 5, 1941, in Dallas, Texas, she was one of 12 children. Virginia brought joy and laughter to those around her throughout her long and vibrant life.

Virginia was a woman of many talents and deep passions. She had a sharp wit and a dry sense of humor that could light up any room. Her family and friends often found themselves laughing at her clever remarks and quick comebacks-humor that became one of her most cherished traits.

A gifted artist at heart, Virginia expressed herself through painting, gardening, cooking and music. She found great joy in tending to her garden alongside her beloved mother, Cora May. The two shared countless hours nurturing flowers and vegetables under the Texas sun-a bond rooted in love and soil. In the kitchen, Virginia delighted in creating new dishes for her family. Her meals were more than food; they were expressions of care and creativity. She took great joy in the Saturday Pancake breakfasts she made for daughter Dana.

Virginia's artistic spirit extended beyond the garden and kitchen into painting. Her canvases reflected the same vibrancy she brought to life-colorful, thoughtful, and full of emotion. Flowers were the subject of many of her paintings.

She was known for her striking beauty-platinum blonde hair framing big blue eyes that sparkled with mischief and warmth. Many said she looked like a movie star, but it was her inner light that truly made her unforgettable.

Virginia was deeply proud of her family. She shared a loving marriage with her husband Dennis, with whom she enjoyed listening to one of their favorite bands, the Moody Blues. Their shared love of music created many cherished memories over the years.

She is survived by her devoted husband Dennis Worlow; daughter Dana Hughes; sisters Cora Stocks, Freda Hughes, and Mary Gibbs; nieces Jennifer Stocks and Margie Lane; as well as many others who were touched by her kindness and humor.

Virginia was preceded in death by her son Christian Worlow; and mother Cora May Hughes.

A woman of faith, Virginia lived by Christian values and believed deeply in helping others-a principle she carried out through both word and deed.

May the memory of Virginia Ann "Gin-Ann" Worlow bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.

I remember your beautiful smile Aunty. You are deeply loved and will be missed greatly. I pray for all your loved ones you left behind the Lords grace and care and ask that He would surround your loved ones with love and heal their broken hearts. We will see you soon.

Aunt Virginia Ann, I miss you very much and have such good memories of our time together. Memories of walking to Oakland Park together and watching the ducks, planting flowers with you and Grandma and just sitting at the kitchen table and listening to you talk. Memories of you painting little Emily (which is now hanging on my wall).

Thank you for being not only my beautiful aunt, but my friend. You brought so much joy to my life and I will never forget you. I can only imagine the beauty of heaven you are seeing right now. I can't wait to see you and Grandma again.
