Vita LaBelle Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 9, 2025.
Vita LaBelle (Perniciaro), 90, passed peacefully from this life on May 30, 2025, at her home in Warren, Michigan. Born on February 23, 1935, in Warren, the daughter of the late Antonio and Angela Perniciaro, Vita lived a life defined by kindness, compassion, and boundless devotion to her loving family, who was her greatest source of pride and joy. Her deep love and unwavering support will always be remembered.

Vita was known as a woman who continually put the needs of others before her own. Her spirit of generosity created lasting memories for everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Despite the passing of her beloved husband over 35 years ago, Vita maintained her zest for life. Throughout the years, Vita enjoyed countless adventures exploring new destinations. Travel was one of her greatest joys -- a passion she embraced fully, until declining health limited her activities. In her quieter moments, she found joy and solace in working on puzzles, a pastime that kept her mind sharp and brought her peace.

She leaves behind a family who will treasure and honor her memory: Michelle LaBelle, Michael (Rita) LaBelle, Arthur LaBelle, and Mark (Trina) LaBelle. Vita also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She joins her late husband, Arthur J. LaBelle, and cherished daughter, Antoinette LaBelle-Gibson, and her seven siblings in eternal rest. Her warmth and compassion were felt deeply by each of her children, who will continue to carry forward her legacy of love and generosity.

Honoring Vita's wishes, there will be no public funeral service. Instead, the family will hold an interment ceremony at Cadillac Memorial Gardens, where she will rest peacefully alongside her husband.

Though she has departed this world, Vita's gentle presence, remarkable kindness, and heartfelt love for family will long remain. She will be greatly missed, forever loved, and always remembered by those whose lives she touched so deeply.

-~ Your loving daughter, Michelle.

Mom, I will forever cherish all the wonderful, happy times we had together for so many years. You were always there when I needed you and it was my privilege and honor to be here when you needed me. Was every moment of all those decades perfect? Of course not, not in the real world, but they all disappear when I think of all the adventures and good times we shared. When I've felt sadness here and there at your passing, it is very rapidly replaced with a happy memory of us laughing together, exploring new places and things together, or working on puzzles together and just sharing day-to-day life. I'm sure most everyone feels they have the perfect mom, but you were perfect for me. Thank you for everything you did, for me and for all of us. You really are the best!
