I remember Vivian as the "visiting" French Teacher at Hawthorn School so long ago. This would be in the late sixties. She did amazing things. I remember she mentioned, one day in a chat in the staff room, that she had gone home after school and painted the living room. I couldn't believe how she found the energy to do such an activity. She was so attractive with her red hair. She mention that there was a gas station near her home which she didn't appreciate but had to live with it. She impress me because she was oneof the first teachers to realize and comment on the fact that there would be cut backs in the Ottawa Board of Education because each year the spending increaced and seemed to be out of control. Many years later I was one of those cut backs and I remembered Vivian's comment. She was a wonderful lady. God Bless her.

Remembering Vivian as she was; a loveable, sharing, caring sensitive woman. She left her teaching profession far too soon.
With total respect.
