Von Andrie Obituary
Von showed immense strength after surviving, recovering from, and overcoming challenges resulting from a major car accident when he was a teenager. The accident left its mark on his body, but changed the course of his life and led him to the Lord. He went on to graduate from Mogadore High School and Florida Bible College, establishing and leading a church for 7 years. He was outgoing, and shared the love of God and the message of salvation through Jesus Christ to anyone he met. Von was an avid prayer warrior, praying daily for people on his ever expanding prayer list. His faith in the Lord never wavered, even as his mind and body began to fail. He always knew this was never his home; his home is in Heaven. He and his wife, Linda, were longtime members of Maranatha Bible Church.
Von operated a lawn care business for many years. He also enjoyed working out, especially with his buddies, running, and watching any and all sports, aways being a passionate Cleveland sports fan.
He is preceded in death by his father, William "Bill" Andrie; mother, Arlene "Arnie" Andrie (Rose); uncle, Thomas Andrie; brother-in-law, Robert "Bob" Duncan.
He leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Linda Andrie (Rafn); children, Renee Sargent, Andrea (Andrew) Oshell, and Erika (Roger) Webb; grandchildren, Trenton, Sadie, McKenna, Ashlyn, Isabelle, Roman, Gunnar, and Colson; sister, Bonnie Duncan; nephew, Timothy Duncan, and other extended family members.
The family would like to thank The Village of St. Edward and Northeast Ohio Hospice staff for taking care of Von and ensuring his comfort in his final days.
Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Von's life on Saturday, September 30th, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Maranatha Bible Church, 1424 Killian Rd., Akron, OH 44312. In lieu of flowers, Von requested that donations be made to Maranatha Bible Church. Donations can be made through Maranatha's website, https://mbc95.churchcenter.com/giving, or by mail. Please make checks payable to Maranatha Bible Church.

I have many fond memories of Von as a child, Von and I were grade school friends in Mogadore, Oh. Von and my Brother Bill were in the same grade and were good friends too. Von´s family lived across the street from us on Mogadore Road. I recently reconnected with Von and met his Wife at Maranatha Church where we all attend! Von and I were next door neighbors while growing up.
After overcoming the childhood fighting, we became friends. Every once in a while, we would cross paths. We would hug and the memories would come flowing out. He had a lot to overcome in his life. We all could learn something from his strengths and beliefs. Even though we didn't see each other very often, I will always have special memories of Von and our childhood. May God Bless and comfort all of your family.

Von is so very fondly remembered by his friends and faculty of Florida Bible College. Our condolences to his family. Prayers lifting all of you for Comfort that only comes from our Lord Jesus.

I worked with Von at Chapel Hill Christian School. He always had a smile to share!! Every time he saw me at church, Maranatha Bible Church, he´d ask if I was still teaching and how things were at CHCS. I still have his track that he produced after his accident to lead people to the Lord! He was always so joyful!

I was his nextdoor neighbor for a lot of years. Every time he saw me or one of my hair clients outside he always had a compliment. And he loved to show off his plants. Von loved to tinker in the yard.
