Vondora Moore Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 14, 2006.
Vondora Marx Moore 1915 ~ 2006 One of the most wonderful women in the world, Vondora Marx Moore, has left this earth to be reunited with her husband, Cecil T. Moore, four brothers, two sisters and her parents. Vondora was born in Moroni, Utah on May 14, 1915 to Joseph and Louise Marx. She grew up in Roosevelt and Salt Lake. She met the love of her life, Cecil T. Moore, in Los Angeles, and they were married three weeks later on July 6, 1937. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with five very special children. Vondora was the family photographer. She loved scrapbooking and writing personal histories for all of her family. She was a beautiful embroiderer and quilter. She loved to play games and cards, she usually won. Her master accomplishment was keeping her family close with frequent family vacations and get togethers. Vondora was very gentle, timid and shy, yet to her family she was a giant. She always maintained a great sense of humor, and she never complained. Vondora was a faithful member of the LDS church. She and Cecil served a mission in Florida. Vondora is survived by her five children, Gary T. (Martha) Moore, Calif; Bonnie (Harvey) Sobotka, Alpine; Gerald (Fatima) Moore, Florida, Linda (Lynn) Andersen, Lindon; Lynn (Liz) Moore, Highland, 40 grandchildren, 103 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. (There are 8x10 photos of all of them on her wall). Everyone she met wanted to adopt her as their grandma. Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 16, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the American Fork Twelfth Ward Chapel, 673 East 300 North, American Fork. Family and friends may call on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove, and one hour prior to services on Monday. Interment will be in the Enterprise, Utah City Cemetery on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinfamilymortuary.com.
