Vyrl Dean Bowles

Vyrl Dean Bowles was born on January 29, 1922, in Cushman, Arkansas and departed this life on Sunday, December 21, 2008, in Modesto, California, at the age of 86. Vyrl was the daughter of Robert and Ada (Kimmer) Luster. She grew up in the Prague, Oklahoma area and married Delbert Lenny Bowles on February 16, 1941 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They had made their home in Modesto for the last 62 years. Vyrl was a homemaker and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Her hobbies included sewing, collecting recipes and designing ceramics. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Dale Bowles, one sister, and two brothers. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Delbert Lenny Bowles of the home; extended family Kelly Johns of Nixa, Missouri, Charla Defazio. Fairmont, West Virginia, Jason & Melissa Johns, Janice & Jim Wrather, Lindsay Johns, all of Nixa, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 10:00 A.M., at Prague Cemetery with Dr. Dyton Owen officiating.
