Recently retired from 22 years of service to the City of Mullins as former City Councilman and Mayor, Mr. McDonald and his wife Ann Brown McDonald own and operate Webster Manor in Mullins. After serving in the US Army, he worked as a department manager for the Thriftway Supermarket, a grocery store he later co-owned and operated as S&M Thriftway until 1986, when he and his beloved wife Ann purchased the now well known Webster Manor. Mr. McDonald was a former licensed real estate and insurance agent, past Rotary Club president and served on the Board of Directors of the Mullins Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. McDonald is survived by his wife and 5 children: Chuck (Donna) Brown, Eddie (Dianne) McDonald, Vanessa (Rodney) Cox, William (Pattie) Brown and Missy (Keith) White; 9 grandchildren: Nick McDonald, Courtney Cox, Maegan Cox, Josh Brown, Kent McDonald, Delaney Brown, Austin White, Noah Brown and Landon White; 1 great-grandchild: Jack McCann Cox; a Sister: Jimmie Faye Moody; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. McDonald & Missy,
I just heard Saturday that Mr. Ken had passed on to his great reward. We were there on Tuesday as a church group and didn't get to see you, but want you to know you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. He and the family have been on our church prayer list for sometime.
What a sweet and friendly gentleman he was!! He only knew us as customers at Webster Manor but he (as you also do) always welcomed us as if we were the best of friends and we felt that way about you and the family at Webster Manor. We were only one of thousands who came to your restaurant, but we always felt like family and were so graciously welcomed.
Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers as you adjust to his absence at home, but know that he is in a much better place with his Lord and someday you will be able to see him again.
Much love,
Irma Raines

Dear Ann,
Sadie called me today to tell me about Ken's death. Monroe and I are so very sorry. Our heart breaks for you during this sad time. I am so glad that we knew Ken. He was always so friendly and kind when we stopped in to surprise you and have lunch on our trips to the beach.
I am not sure that I will be able to attend the funeral as I have been having some health issues since February and still not up to 100%, but much better. If I can,I may be able to come with Sadie. However, if I do not get there, please know that we love you and pray for God to comfort you and the children during this very sad time. Love, Margie and Monroe Gaskins

Mrs. Ann, William, Missy and the entire McDonald family, Mullins has lost a truly remarkable servant. Mr. Kenneth loved Mullins and it's citizens. Although I live in Marion, I am frequently in Mullins and always look forward to going to Webster's Manor. I will miss his sweet face and loving smile everytime I enter the front door. He will be missed by many and know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers
during this most difficult time. God has a special Angel and I'm sure he will be watching over his family and the wonderful people who had the opportunity to have known him. May he rest in Peace!
