My thoughts and prayers are with the family as Wally will be missed by all. I knew Wally back in the Safeway/Food Barn days and he always treated me as an equal. Wally was truly one of the good guys!

Shirley, Tim, Becky and family: Today was such a wonderful tribute to your Dear Husband, Father & Father-In-Law and Papa...I am sure Wally was smiling down on all of you and so proud of you for being able to lead his celebration...What a Testimony to Your Love For God and Wally...It was very moving

Ted shared with me that Wally and Kevin had come to visit him and in Wally fashion made sure that He knew where he stood with the Lord that night...Wally continued to be such an encouragement to Ted over the years and as a result Ted has become a very Godly Prayer Warrior which we are both so thankful for...The one and only time Ted shared his testimony in public,a request from Wally for the Men's Breakfast at Grace,a miracle in Ted's Life

Wally also did our pre-marital counselling 15 years ago...(And Shirley you shared the devotion at my shower)...Ted & I will always cherish that teaching...What a blessing to have you both in our lives!

As for me, Wally always referred to me as His Lutheran (Baptist)...I'll always remember him calling and saying I need your Lutheran Wisdom when he was ministering to a couple that he was convinced would not come to the Baptist Church...It always meant alot to me that he would ask me for my input in the situation

Just wanted to share those memories with you and we will continue to lift you up in prayer as you face the next chapter Thankfully with God's help...Wally's Memory will live on in each one of us that his life touched...Until We Meet Again, God Be With You All!!!

Thank you Wally for Being Such A Faithful Servant & Witness!!!

Hello, Shirley and family,
I did not know Wally all that well. I appreciated his great smile and greetings at many of the gatherings at Grace Baptist. We certainly will be praying for you all.

Dear Shirley,
You have been so much in our prayers during this last few weeks. Both you and Wally have been special people in the lives of our family (Doug, Gwen, Colton, Rianna). Doug appreciated Wally as a friend, mentor and pastor, and we are so grateful for the support he has been to Doug over the years.
Thank God for His love that provided salvation for all who will receive it.
Tresure your memories of a wonderful husband and friend.

Dear Shirley, Tim and Becky,
I was so sad to hear that Wally had 'lost his battle' to illness. But oh, how relieved I am that Jesus won the victory over death so long ago! ...That Wally is in heaven, with no more pain, no more suffering, no more tears! Yet you who are left behind are not spared of those tears, so my heart goes out to you in this time of loss. May God's peace, which passes all understanding, be ever present in your hearts. Much love to all of you.

May 29, 2011

Shirley and Family,

We are sorry as we are not able to attend the Funeral but we will be continuing to to pray for all of you.
Our love and prayers

Hello Fus family,
I can hardly put words to how much your dad meant to me! Growing up at Grace, he was a constant and happy presence, and he always had a kind word for everyone. I know your hearts must be so heavy, but also so full of joy for what he is living today!

Although I haven't seen Wally and Shirley for several years, they are still some of my favorite people. What an influence Wally (and Shirley) had on my life as a teenager. They taught me how to love God and enjoy the Christian life. Wally will be missed but I know that he is rejoicing in finally meeting his Saviour. Blessings and prayers to Shirley,Tim and family and Becky and family.

It's never easy when you lose someone you love, but the Lord holds our tears in a bottle (Psa 56:8). I believe He stores them there so that one day, when we see Him, He will show them to us and say, "You see, I was right there with you!" You'd have to be pretty close to catch tears in a bottle! May you feel His presense very near.
When my mother struggled through cancer, she always said, "If I go, I want you to know that I'm saving seats for you at the banquet table." I take comfort that Mr. Fus is doing just that and waiting for his family to one day join him. Thank God for the security we have in salvation, the promise of Heaven!
May you all find comfort through the scriptures, and may we, your friends and family, be the ones to lift you up to the Lord in prayer as you begin the healing process.
My love to you all,
Tamara Carmell

Dear Shirley and Family
Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.
May the love of God enfold you during your journey through grief.

Even though we met only a few times, I am grateful. Marlene and I are blessed to be ministered to by your son. What a legacy you left. The drive, the love, the thirsting for God which Tim demonstrates is learned in the home. Thank you for being a good teacher.

My friend I guess it will be a little longer till we get to see each other again. I still value your words of encouragement and guidance to this day. I had always wanted you to see my daughter Renalta, but that to will have to wait until a time of God's choosing.

May 28, 2011

God bless the Fus family. As Dr. Vance Havner once told someone when they said they were sorry for his loss when his wife died, "You haven't lost something when you know where it is" We know where Wally is and we will miss him, but we will see him again. We love you all very much and our prayers are with you.
