Wallace Akins Obituary
WAREHAM -- Wallace "Luddy" M. Akins, 72, of Wareham, died Tuesday July 4, 2006, at Tobey Hospital. He was the husband of Elaine (George) Akins of Wareham, and son of the late Clyde and Edith (Morse) Akins.
Luddy worked for St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church in Marion as a Sexton and was a lifelong member of the Wareham Redmen.
Survivors include his wife Elaine, three sons, Daniel Akins of New Bedford, Michael Akins of Bourne, and Richard Landis of Wareham; three daughters, Cheryl Souza of Maine, Heidi Fredette of Leominster, and Barbara Erickson of Middleboro; a brother, Charles Akins of W. Wareham; three sisters, Judy Arne of Mattapoisett, Florence Zora of Rochester and Gene Pitts of Wareham; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be Sunday, July 9th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham. Funeral service will be private.
