Tom Campbell , age 71, of Frisco, Texas passed from this life on to his eternal home December 4, 2018. He was born on July 27, 1947 in Washington, DC. Tom was the sole child of Marjorie and Wallace Campbell. He had a loving childhood and as a young boy he was known by his friends and family as "Tommy". His parents divorced at a young age and Tom was raised by his mother. Tom lived and grew up in the heart of Washington DC. He had a great childhood and learned the value of hard work and dedication from his working mother. She taught him the value of caring for others and enjoying what you have.


He graduated from Surrattsville High School in Clinton, Maryland in 1965. He went on to graduate from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1970. He married his beloved wife of 49 years, Helen Marie Morris on August 16, 1969 in Riverdale, Maryland. Tom was a Senior Executive in the Food & Beverage industry. Over his career he had roles at Marriott, 7-Eleven, Brinker International, TGI Fridays, and his own consulting firm. One of his biggest career accomplishments was the idea and eventual incorporation of food into 7-Eleven stores. This development lead to the modern day convenience store.


Tom was an avid reader, loved gardening, dancing, and entertaining friends and family. Later in life he took up painting and became quite adapt at painting beautiful outdoor landscapes. Tom can best be described as a very caring man, who was sincere, and always willing to help others. His caring traits showed through his volunteer work with McKinney Hospice. Tom was also an active member of Bent Tree Bible Fellowship Church.


His greatest love is his family. He is survived by his wife and best friend Helen of Frisco, Texas; son Mark and his wife Katie of Dallas, Texas; and his second son Scott and his wife Starla of Ashville, North Carolina. He was a doting and beloved Poppi to his five grandchildren; Baylee (21), Connor (18), Zoe (15), Carter (13), and Claire (11). Tom is preceded in death by his mother Marjorie Lortz and his father Wallace Campbell.


Tom was loved while he was with us here on earth, and will be continued to be loved through time and all eternity.
