Walter Ainsworth Obituary

Walter Ainsworth, longtime resident of Fraser, died peacefully Friday afternoon in his home surrounded by the love of his family. He was 77 years of age.

Walter was born on December 19, 1930 in Huntington, New York, son of the late Charles and Martha (Schait) Ainsworth. Walter was united in marriage to his beloved Elaine Frank on January 20, 1951 in Our Savior Lutheran Church of Detroit. The couple resided in Fraser since 1957. Walter worked as a Lithographer at Safran Printing for 27 years and the Girl Scouts of America following his retirement for Safran. Walter was very dedicated to his church, wife, and family. He will be deeply missed by the many he has touched in his lifetime.

Walter is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Elaine; dearest children, Michele (Ron) Brown, Mark (Anita), and Laura (David) Clegg; cherished granddaughters, Caitlin and Jenae; and loving sisters, Evelyn, Dorothy, and Carol.

Visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, Sunday 6pm-9pm. A funeral will be held in Faith Lutheran Church of Troy on Monday at 11am with additional visitation at 10am. Memorial contributions to Faith Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
