In Loving Memory of Walter "Duane" Arter

August 15, 1936 - June 20, 2025

Duane, age 88, of Tucson, Arizona, passed peacefully into the arms of his Savior on June 20, 2025. A man of unwavering faith, steady hands, and a heart full of love, he leaves behind a legacy rooted in service, family, and devotion.

Duane built his life around hard work and helping others. He worked for many years as a gifted diesel mechanic, always known as the man who could fix just about anything, and never hesitated to lend a hand to someone in need. Whether a machine or at the table with family, Duane gave his full heart to what he did.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Geraldine A, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership. Duane was a devoted father to his children and their spouses: Bernadette C (Vince), Duane A (Julie), Vicki B (Chris), Celeste G (Pete), and Lynette S(Lou). He was also a proud grandfather to Nathaniel E (Nikki), Josh S (Julie), Cecelia D(Brandon), Tyler S (Mercedes), Emily B, Edward G (Jazmin), Nate C, and Aaron G (Mackenzie), and a cherished great-grandfather to Lily, Aspen, Rainer, and Willow E Kinleigh and Denaleigh S Cash C and Eliyanah G.

Duane is survived by his loving sisters, Evia S and Pat A. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Darlene S and Alice B.

We believe you're home now, safe, whole, and surrounded by love. We'll carry your memory in everything we do until we see you again.
