DERRY, N.H. — Walter L. Biery, 86, of Derry, N.H., died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry.
Walter was born and educated in Rhode Island. He summered on Big Island Pond in Derry his entire life and lived in several seacoast communities. Walter served his country in the US Air Force during World War II. He was a self-employed builder. Walter enjoyed horses, hunting, fishing and "lobstering."
He was predeceased by his wife Eleanor (Gallagher) Biery. He is survived by two sons, Dennis Biery and his wife Margaret of Derry, Robert Biery and his wife Susan of Derry; two daughters, Melissa Scott and her companion Mark Young of Derry, Melinda and her husband Patrick Guerin of Sandown, N.H.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services are private for the family. Arrangements are by the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, N.H. I enjoyed seeing Walter. He always had a twinkle in his eye like he was about to let you in on a joke he knew. "Homer" will miss seeing him, too.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Walter was an amazing man, that always had a story to tell and a smile on his face. I remember seeing him weekly when I worked at the bank.
