Walter Lee Clark 74, passed peacefully on February 22, 2013 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Born January 17, 1939 to Charles Arthur Clark and Doris Irene Freeman in Peoria, Illinois. Preceeded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and daughter Judith Ann. Survived by his siblings, Mary Ann Harris Hedrick (Charles), Harold Allen Harris (China), Linda Clark Hagerman, Raymond E. Harris (Shirley) and Ruth Ellen Ha...rris Ahlers, nieces and nephews, his children, Cheryl L. Clark Southwick, Rebecca J. Clark Withers, Charles R. Clark and Jeffery A. Clark, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and previous wives, Sherry and Marian. Graduated from Clinton High School 1957, married Sherry A. Peek November 26, 1958 in Mackinaw, Illinois. Graduated from Brown's Peoria School of Business in 1959 and went to work for International Transport, Inc., Chicago Terminal, as a dispatcher where he gradually moved his way up to Terminal Manager. Moved to Stroud, Oklahoma in 1974 and worked for Machinery Transport as the Safety Director, then on to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1978 and worked for EFB Truck Line where he continued his love for the trucking business. He received Awards for 1st Place in Fleet Safety and 1st Place in Industrial Safety for 5 consecutive years. Went on to PST Vans, Inc. Divorced Sherry in 1986, then married Marian Ahern May 16, 1988, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Moved to Rockwall, Texas in 1989 where he worked for Texas American Express, Inc. and Stevens Tr ansport before retiring from the industry that knew him so well. He loved being a Reserve Law Officer in Stroud, Oklahoma and was honored as Utah State Safety Supervisor of the year in 1981. The family wishes to thank the medical staff who cared for him during his final days, and a special thank you to Elsie and his neighbors in Texas for their love and support of him in his last years. He will be missed by countless co-workers, friends and extended family. A memorial service will be set at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please choose your favorite charity and donate to those in need.

Ole Walter Lee, I followed you for many years and learned a great deal from you. I remember the first time I met you when I first started in the trucking business at Texas American Express in 1998. We have remained friends ever sense. I am truly saddened to hear about your passing. You wewre to me like many others here a mentor, friend and most of all near and dear to all od us! Seems like yesterday we were talking trucking matters and you were helping me with my own company. Until we meet again my friend..

I wish I had known. Only knew that he wasn't online anymore. I loved this man like family. Have only known him for 10 years, but it felt like a lifetime. He helped me in many ways thru the years. You'll be missed, Walt!
