Walter EWENSON Obituary
With sadness, the family of Walter Ewenson announces his peaceful passing on July 25, 2012 at the age of 87 years.
Walter is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty (nee Youmans); daughters, Linda (Harry Sutton), Susan (Bob Hogge) and Patricia (Neil Pearcy); grandchildren, Scott Pearcy, Amy Sutton, Candace Hogge, Jeff Hogge, and great-grandson, Jesse Hogge MacDougall. In addition to his immediate family, Walter leaves an extended family and many friends in the golfing and business community. He was predeceased by his son, David, in 1977.
A Memorial Service to honour Walter's life will be held on Monday, August 6, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at St. George's Anglican Church, 11733 - 87 Avenue, Edmonton.
The family would like to thank Walter's caregiver, Gloria Bautista, as well as the Grey Nuns Hospital staff for their sensitive and compassionate care. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit 43 of the Grey Nuns Hospital, Edmonton, or to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta.

I was sorry to read about Mr. Ewenson's passing. I babysat for all you three children when I was 16 years old. You, Linda where a real beauty and thoughtful. Susan, we called you "Suzie Que" and I nearly kissed and hugged you to death. David was always attached to his "silkidee", a ragged blanket with a silky border. Mrs. Ewenson, you are in my thoughts during this sad time. I will be away for a couple of weeks but would love to meet with you all again after more than 45 years.
