dad i can't believe it is a year gone by since your passing...today at 540am..i was up at 5am this morning the same time i received the phone call last year...i miss you and mommy so much...i put a nice bunch of red white and blue flowers on your kicthen table in rememberance for you..i hope heaven is everything you expected it it to be. i know if you were still on this earth you would be saying 'what next'.like you always did. i miss seeing you at your condo door waving goodbye to me every night. i hope your day is full of peace and serenity and i hope we can all be together some day again love janice

As the chairs at the dinner table empty one by one, the meaning of the word "family" gets stronger holiday by holiday. I will always treasure the Christmas's we have spent all together. Dad, it amazed me how many illness's you conquered over almost 30 years. You were such a strong willed man. I have always admired your will to live. You had always said you wanted to make it to 90, well dad, you made it to 91. You were such a hard worker. You were a caring and honest man. I thank you for all the common sense you have instilled in me. It has helped me through my life. I will miss watching the news with you, talking about current events and eating with you. What I think I will miss most is that no matter what time of the day or night it was, you always waved goodbye to me from your front door. You told me you had to do so because it might be your last time to say goodbye. I’m so glad you didn’t suffer for too long. I understand you were tired and needed to rest. You are at peace now.
