Walter T. Larson

LARSON – Walter T., 92, Chadds Ford, Pa., formerly of Swarthmore, Pa. died Oct. 3, 2009, at Chester County Hospital. Born Jan 11, 1917, in Grassflat, son of the late Herman and Julia (Thomassen) Brown and stepson of the late John Larson. Also preceded in death by wife, Ruth V. (Henderson); brother, Arvid "Ace" J.; and sister, Ruth Larson. Survived by children, Pamela Ruth Larson, and husband, Bruce Beyer, Drexel Hill; Constance L. Brosius, and husband, Wade, Chadds Ford; and Kimberly L. Peichel, and husband, Tim, Springfield; five grandchildren; brothers, John "Art" Larson, Silver Spring, Md.; and Carl H. Larson, Cairnbrook; and sisters, Gladys, Cairnbrook; and Esther Nosel, Central City. Retired from the Department of the Navy, where he was an electronic designer installing sonar and radar on aircraft carriers and destroyers. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Wallingford, having served on the church council and as head usher for many years. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 927 S. Providence Road, Wallingford, Pa. 19086. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Carr Funeral Home, 935 S. Providence Road, Route 320. Interment, Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, Pa.
