Walter Mason "Walt" Mileski

Walter Mason Mileski, known affectionately as Walt, passed away on August 23, 2024, in Gleason, Tennessee at the age of 55. Born on June 24, 1969, in Gary, Indiana, Walt grew up in a close-knit family and later graduated from Calumet High School in his hometown.

Walt dedicated many years to the construction industry, where he was respected for his hard work and reliability. Outside of work, he was passionate about fishing, watching sports, and grilling. These hobbies provided him not just relaxation but also joyous moments with friends and family, which were central to his life.

Walt was a man of humor and warmth, remembered for his kindness and loving nature. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend, always ready with a smile or a helping hand. His presence brought light and laughter to those around him, making every gathering a bit brighter.

He is survived by a large and loving family: his father, Walter Mileski; his wife and friend, Vicki Mileski; brothers Chris and Vince Mileski, and Forrest Chaney; sister Tracy Seay; children Zachary, Ryan, Brandon, Emily, Anna, Jaxson, Ashlyn, and Abby; daughters-in-law Hannah McFadden and Amanda Jackson; son-in-law James Fields; and his cherished grandchildren Brixley Mileski, Masyn Mileski, Briar Sutton, Shepard Sutton, and Lottie Fields. His life was enriched by his friendships, notably with Karen Cozart, who stood by him through thick and thin.

Preceding him in death were his mother, Judy Haag, and sister, Valorie Mileski.

A Memorial Cook Out to celebrate Walt's life will be held at 219 Phelps St, Gleason, TN, with the date to be announced later. This gathering will serve as a tribute to a man who was a cornerstone of his community, a beloved figure whose legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will endure in the memories of all who knew him.
