Walter Miller Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 10, 2025.
Walter H. Miller, Jr., age 92, of Ross Township, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 7, 2025. He was born in Pittsburgh on May 31, 1932, the son of the late Walter H. Miller, Sr. and Mildred (Fornof) Miller.

Walter's wife was Barbara (Burkhart) Miller and father of Damian D. Miller (Kathy Rankin), C. Clay Miller (Sharon Reisch Miller), Melori Miller Rubino, stepfather of Barbara Domagala, and Joseph Domagala. He was the grandfather of Bryan Miller, Ciera (Rhodes) Miller, Jayson Miller, Luciana Rubino, and Charles Rubino. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Lois Napoli and Mildred Sharlow.

A dedicated professional, Walter worked for many years as a truck driver before retiring from Liquid Carbonic. In retirement, he found joy in ushering at Pittsburgh Pirates games and serving as an usher at St. Athanasius Church. He valued time spent with friends over coffee, enjoyed classic and new cars. He took great pleasure in neighborhood walks.

Walter's greatest joy came from time shared with his family and friends. He also held a special place in his heart for his beloved fur companions, Mac and Oreo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, St. Teresa of Avila Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Schellhaas Funeral Home, Inc., West View.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kitty Queen Cat Rescue at www.kittyqueencatrescue.com.
