Joseph Berry Obituary
Joseph (Joe) Berry passed away on Thursday, June 12th with family and friends by his bedside. Joe is survived by his wife Ann of 27 years, his mother Carol of Surfside Beach, SC, 4 sisters, 1 brother, 3 nephews and 3 nieces.
Joe worked for the Town of Clarkstown Highway Department for 33 years. Joe lived in Congers his whole life. He graduated from Clarkstown North High School. He was a lifetime member of the Alert Hook and Ladder and Engine Company #1, Fire Department of Congers with 34 years of service. He also was a member of the Elks Club #877 of Haverstraw for 27 years.
Joe enjoyed the outdoors, especially boating. He will be missed by everyone who ever knew him. Family will receive visitors on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, Congers, NY. Mass will be held at St. Paul's RC Church in Congers on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 10am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joe's name to the ALS Association of Greater New York Chapter, 42 Broadway, Suite 1724, New York, NY 10004.
