Pastor Resnor confirmed me and married my husband Jim and me in 1965 in Kingsley. I think my parents, Lawrence and Peg Krause, were godparents to one of you children. I think of Pastor when I am reading certain Portals of Prayers and teaching certain lessons in Sunday School. I learned so much from his teaching. He was much loved by the Krause Family.

There is a quote by Leo Buscaglia who said, “I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.”
Forever in your hearts.
With sympathy to the family, especially Linda and Pastor Funke, Steve and Debbie Resner.

Lola and Bill Funke wish to tell you how sorry we were to learn of this exceptional man's passing. Our association with him through family ties has been one of pleasure because of his warm faith that showed through to all. Because he was the father of our daughter in law, we were indebted to him for the obvious wonderful spiritual guidance he gave to her. We offer consolance with the knowledge he is truly in God's presence. Lola and Bill Funke

Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise." Praying you find comfort in knowing that your loved one has found true peace. We are thankful we had the privilege of knowing him. He will be missed not only by family but his many friends.

Linda, Pastor and all the Resner and Funke families:There is no way to express the sorrow for all of you, in the passing of one very special man, Pastor Resner. I have know him since I was 7 years old and when we were without a Pastor in Correctionville, Iowa we always looked forward to having Pastor Resner as a subsitute until a new Pastor would come. This happen many times during the years. He was even there to confirm my brother and he also served as Pastor for my fathers funeral. We always looked forward to seeing him when the Funke family, etc. got together, you all were so good to enclude us in your family gatherings up at the lakes and etc. I will always remember his smile, the quiet soft spoken man and the faith he showed to all.
He will be missed not only by the family, but also by us. Please know you all are in our thought and prayers and pray our Lord will give you peace and comfort during these days of sorrow and also in the days and years to come. In Christ Love, Bill and Verna Kay Davis

When I (Dave) first got to know him in the 70's, what always struck me is, what a warm, godly, gentle man he was. Our hearts and prayers are with you at this time, a time of tears and laughter, sadness and rejoicing all rolled into one. May God hold your tender hearts in his loving, comforting, healing, hands, and fill you with his peace.

He was the ultimate example of faith. Always looked up to Wally. He has finished the race & gone to his reward. May God hold the family in the palm of His hand & grant them peace.
