Walter Smokovich Obituary

Walter Joseph Smokovich, 86, of Jacksonville, died Dec. 15, 2012 at home.

A mass Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Infant of Prague Catholic Church with Father Ernest Ruede officiating. Internment will be at a later date at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, New Philadelphia, OH.

He was preceded in death by his wife Irene Bahorek Smokovick.

He is survived by two daughters, Lynn Smokovich of Jacksonville and Lori Broas of McKinney, Texas; two sisters, Mary Milarcik of Tippecanoe, Ohio and Nancy Miller of Lafferty, Ohio and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may also be sent to Infant of Prague Catholic Church, 205 Chaney Ave. Jacksonville, NC 28540. On line condolences may be made to www.jonesfh.org.
