Walter Thomas Williford

Of Lakeland, passed away Sunday afternoon, January 23, 2011 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born October 12, 1927 to the late Hartwell and Flora Mae Newsome Williford in Louisville, Georgia. He was an Evangelist preaching and singing the Word of God in a number of church's in the South Georgia and North Florida areas. He is preceded in death by his wife Martha Virginia Williford. Survivors include: 5 Sons, Walter Junior Williford, Ray City, GA, Thomas Eugene Williford, Lakeland, GA, Randy Dale Williford, DeFuniak Spring, FL, Steve Hartwell Williford, Lakeland, GA, David Williford, Lakeland, GA, Daughter, Janice Faye Williford, Lakeland, GA, 15 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren, 7 Great Great Grandchildren, 5 Sisters, Martha Lamb, Augusta, GA, Jeanette Jenkins, Augusta, GA, Doris Smith, Sandersville, GA, Catherine Norris, Sandersville, GA, Wanda Curry, Dublin, GA, 4 Brothers, Terrell Williford, Gibson, GA, Mervin Williford, Sandersville, GA, J.W. Williford, Sandersville, GA, Wayne Williford, Sandersville, GA A number of Nieces and Nephews Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2011 in the Camp Creek Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, January 25, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. He will be placed in the church 1 hour prior to service.
