Wanda Ingels Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 14, 2024.
Wanda Mae Ingels, nee Caldwell, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2024, in St. George, Utah, at the age of 92. Wanda was born on April 26, 1931, in Marlin, Texas, the oldest of five siblings. She was a hardworking and loving person who dedicated her life to her family and friends.

Wanda was a struggling single mother of 2, when she met and married the love of her life, Jim Ingels. They were married for 53 years until Jim's passing in 2013. Wanda also experienced the heartbreaking loss of her son the same year. Despite these challenges, Wanda remained resilient and continued to find joy in life. She had a passion for bowling, gaming, cooking, and taking care of her loved ones. Wanda's infectious laughter brought happiness to everyone around her, and she had an unwavering love for animals.

In her younger years, Wanda embarked on a cross-country trip with her husband on his motorcycle, showcasing her adventurous spirit. After Jim's passing, Wanda's oldest daughter moved to St. George to provide care and support until her final days.

Wanda will be deeply missed by her surviving family members, including her sister Norma Jean Anderson, her daughters Debbie Warner and Sandy Tanner, her granddaughter Monica Deckard, her grandsons Cody Fox and Brian Tanner, and her great-granddaughter Lily Deckard. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jim Ingels, her son Zack Stuart, her brother Lewis Caldwell Jr., and her sisters Mary Rose and Peggy Heckman.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to any pet rescue or adoption organization, as Wanda had a special place in her heart for animals.

Wanda's passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew her. Her loving spirit, kind heart, and infectious laughter will be cherished and remembered forever. May she rest in peace.

My mom was a friend to everyone. She was my best friend. We laughed a lot. Whether it was playing games, watching TV, or just reminiscing, we always found something to laugh about. I will miss you mom, but I'm so glad you won't be struggling to breathe anymore. You save a place for me. I love you so much.

Jim and Wanda have been our wonderful friends and neighbors since they moved to St George. Our hearts are heavy losing Wanda at this time but know she is reunited with her Savior, with her loving husband, and her family and friends who passed before her. We are grateful for the privilege of getting to know her daughters, sister, and extended family when they came to visit. Such kind and loving people. Deb always took such good care of her mother, she always put Wanda first. Wanda, we love you and will miss you, and we´ll think of you often. May God be with you `til we meet again. Love, Kelly, Steve, Miles.

To a wonderful and caring mom. We will miss playing games and laughing with you. You took such good care of us growing up and beyond. I will never forget all the laughter and good times we had. I am looking forward to seeing you again with a restored mind and body. Even though you are very much missed, I am grateful you are no longer suffering. Love you much mom!!!
