Wanda Johnston

JOHNSTON, Wanda August 17, 1917 On Sunday, May 23, 2010, Wanda passed away with family by her side. We will greatly miss our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Wanda was a kind and beautiful person who will be missed by all who knew her. She spent her life devoted to her family, as we were devoted to her. Wanda was born in Calgary and grew up in Strathmore, Alberta. She returned to Calgary where she met the love of her life, Cooper. They moved to Edmonton and began a life together and were married 50 years. Wanda was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Cooper Johnston, her brother, Hal Knapp, and her daughter-in-law, Mary Johnston. She is survived by her son, Bill Johnston (Mary) and children, Susan Boissonneault (Grant and Adam), Laureen Partington (Jeremy, Jessica and Valerie), Ron, Elizabeth, Eric and Kathleen; and daughters, Susan Stratton (Bruce, William, Jill), Lynn Fraser (Tom, Jill and Eric Tredget, Sarah and Nicholas), Jill McLennan (Graham, Meredith, Carly and Rod), Margot Routhier (Steve and Luc).
