Chuck, Linda and Karen,
In her life, Wanda was so much more than a "boss" to me -- she was a terrific friend and always had a loving heart and kind word. My deepest sympathy to you for your loss, but I know she lives on in everyone she knew.
Love,
Lanna (Williams) Jones

Dear Chuck, Linda and Karen,
I know you know how much Wanda meant to me. I am so thankful to have been able to visit with her this past April, we had a wonderful time talking (mostly about our COMSAT days). Our office was full of laughter and good times, times that I will always cherish. Wanda's guidance and friendship will be with me forever. I am so blessed to be able to continue my friendship with all of you. For those that were not able to attend Wanda's Memorial Service, I wanted to provide the message that you included on her Memory Card, it really touched my heart and I know it will touch others that knew her.
You left a beautiful memory and a sorrow too great
To be told, but to us, who loved and lost you, your
Memory will never grow old. Always a silent
Heartache, many a silent tear, but always a
Beautiful memory of one we loved so dear. God
Gave us the strength to bear it and courage to face
the blow, but what it meant to lose you, no one will
Ever know. Please God, forgive our many tears, and
The secret wish that she was here. There were
Others, yes, we know, but she was ours, we loved
her so.
Much love,
Lindsay Baldwin

I am saddened to hear of Wanda's passing. I knew her for many years at Comsat Labs. Besides being a very nice person, she was one of the best at her job and had a well deserved reputation for being a "go to" person in Human Resources who could always be counted on for solid advice and assistance. She was a real help to me and to many others too, and she will be remembered in that way. Please accept my deepest condolences.

Dear Chuck,
I wanted you to know I spoke to my mom, (Boots Hull) because she was a neighbor on Culler Ave., also, about Wanda's passing and she so sorry. She knew how much she meant to you. Mom is in a nursing home at St. Catherine's in Emittsburg ,Md. I go to see her almost everyother day. I am writing this because she cannot and she thought so much of you, she wanted me to tell you. She knows what it is like to lose the love of your life, as well as I do. We both lost, just at different times. We both have gone on , but will never forget, as you will never forget Wanda.
May God grant your family peace and help you get through this painful time.

Dear Chuck, Karen and Linda,
Ray & I were extremely saddened to hear of Wanda’s passing. Wanda was a true friend and her friendship, kindness, compassion, and love was cherished by our entire family.
Wanda and Chuck lived next door to us in Damascus, Maryland and were definitely a large part of our family’s lives. Ray and I shared many many good times with Wanda and Chuck and have fond memories of our times together. We cherish those wonderful memories forever.
Wanda was truly a very special person and was quite dear to me. She introduced me to the temporary pool at COMSAT Labs and not long thereafter I became a permanent employee. Wanda was like the backbone of COMSAT Labs. When you think of COMSAT Labs Wanda immediately comes to mind. You could always count on Wanda for assistance and a helping hand. She was dedicated and committed to assisting COMSAT Lab’s employees in any way that they needed assistance.
I will always remember Wanda for so many things but especially her contagious laugh. She will be missed by so many but she truly leaves behind a legacy that will go on forever.
The McKinley family is in our thoughts and prayers and our heart goes out to each of you. May God bring peace to the family in these difficult times. We are so sorry for your loss. All Our Love Always, Ruth Ann, Ray German and Family

I was saddened to hear that Wanda had passed away. She was one of the first people I met at Comsat when I was hired. She was also the same person that laid me off(twice!)
By the second time she had a smile on her face and said "Somehow I think you'll be back" and she was right. She welcomed me back several months later. I just loved her.

It's sad to hear the news. I still remember vividly when I joined COMSAT labs, Wanda not only provided a warmly welcome, she also went all the way to help me to straighten some complicated HR/legal/financial issues I encountered. She will always be remembered.

I am saddened by this news. Wanda and I worked together at the Labs for several years. She was a great help and inspiration for me. Her positive attitude and helpfulness made my job as Labs HR Manager (before her tenure in that job) so enjoyable. I remember her very fondly; she will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear about Wanda. I worked with her at the Labs, and later on we were HR colleagues. I'll remember her smiling face--she was such a nice, happy person to be around. My thoughts are with you all.
