When in my mind I bring forth a picture of Waneta's face, it is always there with darkly tanned skin and a big wide smile. It's a nice picture. I like it.
I will keep it there in a place of honor among those in our family who have gone before us and are now so sorely missed.

I am blessed to have been raised by such amazing people. They have taught me the true meaning of “it takes a village to raise a child” and I will be forever grateful for the impact my family has made on my life. Aunt Waneta has given so much to our family and we are all better people because of her. I will carry her with me always.

Hmmm...several of the images my cousin Nancy mentioned flash through my mind and I smile. What is outstanding in my memory is Aunt Waneta's fun loving spirit, quick to smile and laugh. I will always remember the laughter and happiness I witnessed when my aunts and uncles got together with my mom and dad. I envy and am grateful for their bond of friendship and love of family. Rest well.

Memories of my Aunt Waneta:
white slacks, big silver belts, the best suits, a great laugh, sense of humor, always a smile, an interest in my life and lots of hugs! Memories sustain us and I have only the best memories of my Aunt.
