Warren "Taylor" Hannah, whose personality was as bold as his laugh, passed away peacefully on the evening of June 25, 2025, in Panama City, Florida, surrounded by loved ones. He was just 40 years old; having spent recent years in Florida and Colorado but calling Georgia home for most of his life.
Born on March 4, 1985, in Atlanta, Georgia, Taylor grew up in the metro Atlanta area, quickly becoming something of a local legend. He was the life of the party from day one and a comedian at heart, weaving hilarity and absurdity to the point of doubling over in laugher at his own stories. Known for his daredevil spirit, outrageous sense of humor, and contagious joy, he was larger than life and louder than hell. Whether you knew him from one of his wild stories, spontaneous dance-offs, epic fishing excursions, or as the friend who always made you laugh at exactly the right moment, Taylor left an impression that won't soon fade.
Professionally, Taylor thrived in the security industry, working his way up through technician and supervisory roles before becoming a Virtual Field Tech. But no job title could define him the way his relationships did. The role he cared about most was being a dad. The day he met his stepsons Tony and Shawn, his world shifted. And when his daughters, Alexandria and Addison, were born, his heart grew even fuller.
Taylor loved taking Tony and Shawn out fishing and teaching them the fine art of catching. He also loved trips to the zoo with Alexandria and Addison-whether in Atlanta or Pueblo-and could spend hours with them at the Manitou Springs Arcade. Even when miles separated them, he looked for ways to stay close, like organizing movie nights and watch parties over video chat with Addison-complete with delivered pizza and their own running commentary.
He had a deep love for nature, movies, music, and fishing (which probably deserves to be listed twice). Whether in Georgia, Colorado, or Florida, he always found a way to enjoy the little things-usually with friends or family, a funny story, and often a rod and reel nearby. He was also a regular in his online gaming circles, logging on to hang with friends, talk trash, and laugh for hours-his headset on, his dog at his feet.
Taylor is survived by his daughters, Alexandria and Addison; his stepsons, Tony and Shawn; his loving mother, Sheila Mount-Glenn; and his devoted sisters, Jena Hannah Greer and Aleah Hannah Winchester. He also leaves behind Daisy, his loyal and much-loved dog. He is preceded in death by his father, Warren "Trent" Hannah -another absolute legend.
Taylor's chosen family was just as important to him, and in his final days, friends like Bell, Danny and Ashley showed up for him and looked out for him in ways that would've made him honored and proud. That's the kind of loyalty Taylor gave, and the kind he got back.
His time here was too short, but he packed it full of humor, chaos, love, and unforgettable moments. Taylor wouldn't want a bunch of tears or flowery speeches- he'd tell us to quit being sad and tell a ridiculous story instead. He'd want us to share epic memories, glorious dance moves, loud laughter, and good music – ideally over some fried food and maybe a Bud Heavy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 2 from 2:00-5:00pm at Pig Tales on Lake Lanier: 6800 Lights Ferry Rd, Flowery Branch, GA 30542.
In lieu of flowers, share a picture, a story, or a memory. If you've got a wild one, even better. You can also contribute to arrangements and expenses if that's something you'd like to do:
