ODESSA Warren Julian Harry was born on March 2, 1926 in Waco. He died on April 5, 2016. He was 90 years old. His parents were Ralph Shelby Harry and Ruby Alma Knudson Harry. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, JoAnn Moore Harry, sons David Shelby Harry and wife Deborah Montpetit Harry, and Steven Fred Harry and wife Carol Miller Harry, Grandsons Timothy Steven Harry and wife Ashley Smith Harry, Barrett Miller Harry, Jacob Warren Harry, Joshua Daniel Harry, and great grandsons Westley Ezekial Harry, Seth Ryan Harry, Levi Wyatt Harry and Micah Byron Harry.

Warren graduated from Waco High School in 1943 & from the University of Texas at Austin in 1949. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1947. In 1951 Warren and JoAnn Moore (born in Bowie, Texas in 1930) were married at the First Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth. They first lived in Tulsa, OK, where Warren was employed by the DuPont Company. In 1952, Warren took a job with Stratoflex, Inc. of Fort Worth, a manufacturer of hose fittings and hydraulic hose assemblies for industrial, aircraft, & military application. His first assignment was in Dayton, Ohio as a Sales Engineer, covering Indiana, Ohio, western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky.

Sons David and Steven were born in Dayton. He was Manager of the Fort Wayne, Indiana plant for several years before transferring to the company headquarters in Fort Worth. He spent the rest of his career in Fort Worth, serving as General Manager of Operations and Vice-President of Operations. He retired in 1991 after 38 years. Stratoflex, a part of Ken Davis Industries, was sold to Parker Hannifin Corp. in 1988.

Warren was raised in the Lutheran Church. He became a Presbyterian in 1951 when he married JoAnn Moore. They were active in the Presbyterian Church. Warren was an Elder for 30 years in two cities: Fort Worth & Odessa. Warren was awarded the Silver Beaver for his service to Scouting. They were also active in the YMCA in Fort Worth, and Meals-On- Wheels in Fort Worth and Odessa. Memorials may be made to Meals-On-Wheels, the Boy Scouts, and First Presbyterian Church of Odessa.

Warren's cremains are in the Laurel Land Mausoleum in Fort Worth, TX.

A Memorial service at the First Presbyterian Church in Odessa, TX is scheduled for 4pm, April 23, 2016.

Services are entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
