Warren Schreiner

Warren Schreiner, 80, of 122 Ashberry Lane died the night of April 11, 2008, in Jameson Hospital.Born March 4, 1928, in Bronx, N.Y., he was a son of the late Oscar and Helen Greenfield Schreiner.He married the former Janet Solimeno on Jan. 15, 1950. She died Oct. 13, 1997.He then married the former Marion Matthews on April 25, 2004. She survives.Mr. Schreiner retired from the New York City Police Department, where he was a police officer.He served in the Army from 1946 to 1948.Mr. Schreiner was a 30-year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 455.He was a member of Kings Chapel United Methodist Church.In addition to his wife, survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Charles Carstens of Mishawaka, Ind., Karen and Nick Gentile of New Castle, and Janet and Dave Book of Wampum; two stepsons and their wives, Herbert and Carol Matthews of Willoughby Hills, Ohio, and Gary and Michele Matthews of Rochester, N.Y.; a brother, Larry Schreiner of New Port Richey, Fla.; six grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and one great-grandchild.In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Sherman.Calling hours are 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, 111 W. Falls St. A service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev.
